Fox First Real Estate - Oakliegh had told me there would be an open inspection  for a share house property (as I am looking for close student accomodation) via email that morning before I drove in peak hour traffic through Clayton from near Eidithvale beach.

I got to the property around 5mins before the time provided (5.30), rung the door bell and knocked on the window several times and waited around for around 15mins. I could hear a couple of voices coming from inside, therefore assumed I was at the wrong place and the people inside were just ignoring me.

When I emailed the Real Estate agent they simply told me the agent was inside showing around potential tenants. I called the office after reading this and he basically told me that I should have called the Real Estate office (which I was unable to do at the time).. not once did he appologise!! He asked questions such as "Did you ring the doorbell?" after I had mentioned I rang the doorbell and knocked on the window.

What sort of agents do they hire that don't answer the door when there is an OPEN INSPECTION? and what customer service are they providing their clients??

There were no signs up to let me know I was at the right place or to wait longer till the door would be open (even though the end time for inspection was meant to be 15mins after the inspection started!) and from what I could observe about the property was that it was very uninviting with grass and shrubs over grown and the house looked from the outside like it needed some maintenance.

 Needless to say I will keep a mental note never to use Fox First Real Estate Agency in the future and recommend to anyone searching for a property to not go through this agency.

I am stunned that some people are so incompetant even in their line of work which they should be striving to excel in.
